9:30 A.M. VII. CHIP WOODS – LYON COUNTY ENGINEER.
A. Discuss and consider approving the invitation from Coalition Against Bigger Trucks
to Jim Brull to join in a Fly-In to Washington, DC March 18th – 21st and attend meetings
on Capitol Hill concerning proposed bigger truck configurations (HR 3372). Airfare, hotel,
meals, parking, transportation to and from the hotel and Capitol Hill are to be paid by
CABT.
B. Consider approving sending out a Request for Bids for Washed SM-K Cover Material for
our 2024 Sealing Project according to the attached specifications.
C. Consider approving purchasing 15 Apple iPads and 14 smartphones from Verizon for a
total of $5,820.00 to be paid from the Road & Bridge Fund [011-00-7228].
D. Consider approving closing Locust Street (Road 240) in Americus from Main Street to Fifth
Street on Friday, April 12, 2024, at 6PM through Saturday, April 13 at 10:30PM for the Flint
Hills Gravel Ride Event.
E. Consider approving closing Locust Street (Road 240) in Americus from Main Street to Fifth
Street on Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 7:30AM to 4:30PM for the Unbound Gravel Event.
