The Board of Lyon County Commissioners met in Action Session at 9:00 a.m. in the Commission Chambers with the following people in attendance:

Motion: To Approve Warrants Payable 8-25-2023 in the amount of $177,612.86. Peck/Duft 3-0
Appointments: To consider appointing Don Hill to the Newman Regional Health Board of Trustees, effective immediately and terminating December 31, 2023.

Shane Brunner, LCAT presented Commissioners with approving the Lyon County Area Transportation Title VI Complaint Procedures and Limited English Proficiency Plan.

Jim Brull, Lyon County Highway Department, presented Commissioner with sending Chip Woods & Seth Snyder to the MINK Conference in St. Joseph, MO on September 12th –13th, 2023, and pay the related travel expenses from the Road & Bridge Fund 011-00-7420, estimated fees of $1,000.00. KCHA will pay the registration fee.

Bruce Boetcher, BG Consultants, Jim Brull and Dan Williams presented Commissioners with approving the request for change order #09 to demolish and repair section of Prairie Street for new waterline work; additional $6,619.28 and change order #10 to install (8) new pipe bollards at new transformer; additional $4,475.90 for a total of $11,095.18 to be paid from account 044-00-9026.

Ruth Wheeler, Court Administrator, and Chief Judge Larson presented Commissioner to consider approving a proposal to put a security door on the South end of the third-floor hallway in the Lyon County Courthouse for a total of $18,446.00 to be paid from account 010-07-9001.
