JULY 13, 2023
The Board of Lyon County Commissioners met in Action Session at 9:00 a.m. in the Commission Chambers with the following people in attendance:

Call to Order / Pledge of Allegiance
Motion: To Approve the Agenda as presented. Martin/Duft 3-0

1. Minutes of the 7-6-2023 meeting.
Motion: To Approve Warrants Payable 7-14-2023 in the amount of $331,585.90. Peck/Duft 3-0
Appointments: no action taken.
Personnel changes: Commissioners reviewed payroll change authorizations.
Motion: To Approve the Payroll Change Authorization forms as presented. Martin/Duft 3-0
Permits: no action taken.
Commissioners and Controller Williams discussed the Lyon County 2024 Budget.
Chip Woods presented Commissioners with a request to consider closing a portion of Road L for the Allen Veterans Fall Festival.
Motion: To Approve closing Road L, the Allen Road from 4th Street to Highway 56 from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on
October 7, 2023, for the Allen Veterans Fall Festival. Peck/Duft 3-0
Public comment: no one present.
Break from 9:50 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Vici Smith presented Commissioners with a request to consider sending out requests for proposals to upgrade the Lyon County website.
Motion: To Approve sending out Requests for Proposals to upgrade the Lyon County website. Martin/Duft 3-0
Counselor Priest presented Commissioners with a request to consider the Human Resources Policy changes.
Motion: To Approve the new Pregnant Worker’s Fairness Act Policy for Lyon County. Martin/Peck 3-0
Motion: To Approve the updated Lyon County Leave of Absence Policy. Peck/Duft 3-0
Motion: To Approve the updated Lyon County Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) Policy. Martin/Peck 3-0
Motion: To Approve the updated Lyon County Person Property Policy. Duft/Martin 3-0
Motion: To Approve the new Lyon County Sick Pool Policy. Peck/Duft 3-0
Motion: To Approve the updated Department Head Manual Policy. Martin/Peck 3-0
Motion: To Approve the updated Fitness Center Policy. Martin/Peck 3-0
