Commissioners discussed board appointments with no action taken.

Commissioners discussed the county association dues related to the Kansas Association of Counties for 2021.

Motion: To Approve the Kansas Association of Counties 2021 Annual Membership Dues in the amount of $7,993.47 to be paid from Fund 010-01-7260. Martin/Briggs 3-0

Commissioners discussed the Center Township open positions and nominations from the Center Township Board. Commissioners accepted the letter of reorganization of the Center Township Board: David Farthing, Trustee, Bonnie Farthing, Treasurer and Peggy Fell, Clerk.

Personnel changes: no action taken.

Gayle Taylor-Ford, Victor Edelman and Melissa Landis gave a presentation on Empower House Ministries. Melissa explained how Empower House Ministries came about and the reasons housing is necessary and other needs.

Tammy Vopat presented Commissioners with a request to consider payment to ES&S (Election Systems & Software, LLC) for the election equipment yearly maintenance agreement in the amount of $46,155.00 to be paid from Fund 010-21-7600.

Public comment: Lynn McAllister talked about the wind farm history and how the severe weather caused problems with the wind farms operating efficiently. Lynn talked about Commissioners who serve on boards and asked if they voted how their constituents wanted them to. Lynn requested Commissioners do their job in representing their districts.

Reports
Commissioner Martin:
• Next week is the Council on Aging meeting.
• Next Wednesday we will have a Study Session to view certain road projects. The March 3rd meeting will be a Study Session for a Road Viewing as petitioned.
• On Monday I received a lot of calls related to the weather.

Commissioner Briggs:
• Thank you to the Road & Bridge Crews for their efforts during the severe weather.
• I believe the Commission has represented our constituents.

Commissioner Peck:
• I attended the RDA zoom meeting on Friday.
• Also, thank you to the Road & Bridge Crews for their efforts during the severe weather.

Clerk Vopat:
• No report.

Controller Williams:
• Working on the audit.

Counselor Goodman:
• Attended the RDA meeting by zoom.

Public Health Report: Dr. Oyenuga and Renee Hively presented an update on public health. The scheduled vaccine shipment was delayed due to weather and working on rescheduling the clinic.
Dr. Oyenuga confirmed the 10-day quarantine time is verified by the CDC.

Renee Hively presented the quarterly report on the Flint Hills Community Health Center. Renee reported on each department with the health department.
