Sheriff's Spring Training

Sheriff’s Spring Training

Since 2006, Lyon County Sheriff’s Office has held a 3-day training covering a variety of law enforcement topics.  This training provides an opportunity for law enforcement to get up to 24 hours of high-quality training. This training brings in up to 200 of Kansas’ finest law enforcement officers to stay trained in all aspects of law enforcement.

It is with great sadness that we must, for yet another year, cancel the annual Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Spring Training conference. This past year has been quite an experience for all of us in law enforcement. Some of us serving in roles we never thought we’d be a part of. It’s also been a difficult year to lose so many brothers and sisters in law enforcement, not just due to covid-19.

We are planning to fully come back in 2022 with the same great training that everyone seems to like. We will always take any ideas into consideration for future topics or presenters.

I know that a lot of officers were waiting for this conference to get some much-needed training hours. And if you are like me, you are tired of the webinars. I did compile a small list of websites that I have found recently with training available. KLETC is also having in-person/online courses.  (This is the main page for the Dallas Crimes Against Children Conference, but they have done many free webinars throughout the year.)

If you know of another site for training, please feel free to share them with me and I will put them on our Spring Training website.

I wish everyone a safe and blessed 2021 and we will be so excited to see you in 2022.
