K-9 Patrol

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office does not currently have a K-9 unit. 

Our former K-9/Patrol Deputy and “DIEGO”, his German Sheppard K-9 partner, are a dual-purpose K-9 team. They are certified by the Kansas Highway Patrol for drug “sniffs” and patrol dog work, including suspect tracking, evidence search and recovery, building searches, officer protection, and crowd control.
