The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office believes citizens and the Law Enforcement community must work together to prevent crime and ensure public safety.   Working together to solve neighborhood problems enhances the quality of life.  We encourage citizens to be alert and report any suspicious activity.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office also encourages employees to be active in the communities of Lyon County.  We believe this interaction improves the abilities of the employee and the community to solve problems together.

Some events the Sheriff’s Office stays invovled with are Kansas Special Olympics Polar Plunge, Tip-A-Cop, and Torch run as well as K.I.S.S. – Keep It A Safe Summer, Citizens Academies, Salvation Army bell ringing, TFI’s Christmas event to gather presents for foster care children and other town festivals!
