Commissioners discussed a letter of support for the League of Children Services.

 

Motion: To Approve signing the letter of support for Lyon County Commissioners to participate in the KDHE Healthy Families Outreach, Prevention, and Early Intervention Program.        Duft/Martin 3-0

Jay Whitney and John Koelsch Lyon County Sheriff’s Office presented Commissioners with approving the renewal of the medical contract for the jail.

 

Motion: To Approve the Sheriff’s Office signing the Agreement for the Provision of Health Care to Incarcerated Patients, Lyon County, Kansas.                Duft/Peck 3-0                                                                                                                   

 

Chip Woods, County Engineer, presented Commissioners with a quote from Foley Rental for the purchase of a used Cat HH120ES excavator mounted hammer for $23,900.00 to be paid from the Multi-Year Fund [017-00-9026]. He asked the Commissioners to consider approving the Application for Open Cut Permit for Skillman Construction, LLC for installing the sewer connection on Prairie Street for the new buildings at the Highway Department. He discussed with Commissioners and got direction to apply for KDPT program funding on two different projects.

  • I attended the Fair Board meeting on Monday.
  • Participated on a panel for the Republican meeting.
  • Will attend the Legislative Dialogue on Saturday.
  • Patrick’s Day parade is Saturday.

 

Clerk Vopat:

  • Attended the Sanborn Clerk Training in Wichita. This was a great session with a lot of information.

Counselor Priest:

  • No report.
