Appointments: Commissioners discussed appointments for the Newman Regional Health Board of Trustees.

Motion: To Appoint Linda Adams-Wendling to the Newman Regional Board of Trustees for a term to expire 12-31-2026. Martin/Peck 3-0

Motion: To Appoint Nancy Wells to the Newman Regional Board of Trustees for a term to expire 12-31-2026. Martin/Peck 3-0

Motion: To Approve canceling Purchase Order #11953 dated 3-31-2021 to Wichita Kenworth in the amount of $196,145.69. This truck chassis cannot be delivered. Martin/Briggs 3-0

Motion: To Approve signing the 2022 General Election Abstract of Votes Cast. Martin/Peck 3-0

Motion: To Approve the minutes of the 11-15-2022 General Election Canvass minutes. Peck/Briggs 3-0

Melissa Landis and Gail Taylor-Ford presented Commissioners with an update on the Empower House Ministries.

Chip Woods presented Commissioners with a request to consider the quote from Emporia Kenworth, Inc. to purchase a 2024 Kenworth T880S chassis with a 16’ Dump bed, snowplow, and salt spreader.

Motion: To Approve the quote from Emporia Kenworth, Inc., for the purchase of a 2024 Kenworth T880 chassis with a 16’ dump bed, snowplow, and salt spreader for an estimated $264,837.00 to be paid from Fund 017-00-9026. Briggs/Peck 3-0

Roxy Van Gundy presented Commissioners with a request to consider her and staff attending conferences.

Motion: To Approve Roxy VanGundy to attend NENA’s Standards and Best Practices Conference, January 16-19th in Clearwater, Florida in an amount not to exceed $2,000.00 to be paid from Funds 019-00-7410 and 019-00-7420. Martin/Briggs 3-0

Motion: To Approve Nicole Thompson, Cassandra Grimm and Roxy Van Gundy to attend the Be the Difference Conference January 29th-Feb. 2nd, 2023, in Myrtle Beach, SC, spending not to exceed $3,000.00 to be paid from Funds 019-00-7410 and 019-00-7420. Briggs/Peck 3-0

Marc Goodman presented Commissioners with a request to consider a resolution abating taxes from the tax sale.
