Janice Huffman presented Commissioner with a request to consider the Corporate Challenge for Lyon County and a total amount of the Employee Gym for consideration of approval.

Motion: To Approve the registration and shirts for a Corporate Challenge Team in the amount of $250.00 to be paid 010-18-7600. Briggs/Peck 3-0

Motion: To Approve the Lyon County Employee Gym program in an amount not to exceed $100,000.00 to be paid from Fund 044-00-9001. Martin/Briggs 3-0
Note: Funds used for this project are non-ad valorem tax dollars.

Reports
Commissioner Martin:
• Attended the Lyon County Extension Board meeting last Wednesday

Commissioner Peck:
• Received phone calls on road issues
Commissioner Briggs:
• Monday is the Fair Board meeting

Clerk Vopat:
• Early voting will start in my office on Monday, each day from 8-5 and ending on August 1st at noon. We are also offering voting at the Anderson Building starting on July 20th through July 23rd
• Working on the budget process

Counselor Goodman:
• RDA was last Friday
• Received funds from the opioid grants

Controller Williams:
• Attended a Road & Bridge improvement project meeting

Julie Govert Walter and Kelsey Pfannestiel presented Commissioners with a request to consider the North Central Flint Hills Area Agency on Aging budget of $281,223 and reported on progress and services provided.

Commissioners discussed the 2023 Lyon County budget. Controller Williams presented information on the budget requests.

Motion: To Approve publishing the Notice of Intent to exceed the Revenue Neutral Rate for the Lyon County 2023 Budget. Martin/Briggs 3-0
Note: The Revenue Neutral Rate is 50.180

Motion: To Approve publishing the Notice of Budget Hearing for the 2023 Lyon County Budget.
Briggs/Peck 3-0

Motion: To move to Legal Executive Session for confidential data exchange with Commissioners, Controller Williams, Counselor Halleran, and Counselor Goodman, to return at 11:15 a.m.
