Motion: To Approve Warrants Payable 7-1-2022 in the amount of $927,920.70. Peck/Briggs 3-0

Commissioners discussed the Lyon County mileage reimbursement rate. No action taken.
Motion: To Remove from the Table to consider the Lyon County mileage reimbursement rate increase.
Motion: To Approve the Lyon County mileage reimbursement rate from 58.5 cents to 62.5 per mile.
Note: Commissioners noted the county has always followed the state rate which is not changing.
Personnel changes: no action taken.
Permits: Clerk Vopat presented an application for a Special Event License from Ignacio Velazquez to have a rodeo at 1223 E. Logan Ave., Emporia, Kansas pending a sales tax id number prior to August 8, 2022.
Roxanne Van Gundy presented Commissioners with a request to consider sending Supervisor Selena Laaser and CTO Cassandra Grimm to the national APCO Conference in Anaheim, CA on Aug 6th – 11, 2022 and approve request, not to exceed $4,000.00 utilizing accounts 019-00-7410 for training and 019-00-7420 for travel.
Motion: To Approve Lyon County Emergency Communication Center Supervisor Selena Laaser and CTO Cassandra Grimm to the National APCO Conference in Anaheim, CA on Aug 6th – 11, 2022 and approve request, not to exceed $4,000.00 utilizing accounts 019-00-7410 for training and 019-00-7420 for travel.
Note: Expenses will be paid from the 911 funds.
Chip Woods presented Commissioners with a request to consider a revised quote from Longbine Autoplaza on a 2022 Silverado 2500 pickup truck and asked for direction.
Motion: To Cancel the purchase requisition 84-22 to Longbine Autoplaza for a 2023 Silverado 2500 pickup truck on 1-14-2022 in the amount of $38,865.00 Martin/Peck 3-0
Motion: To Approve the purchase of a Silverado 2500 from Longbine Autoplaza in the amount of $49,905.00 to be paid from Fund 017-00-9026. Peck/Martin 3-0

Ryan Janzen presented Commissioners with a request to consider changes to the Deputy Appraiser Position description.

Controller Williams presented Commissioners with a request to consider the invoice from CIC (Computer Information Concepts) for the annual maintenance cost of $48,185.00.

Public Health Report: Dr. Oyenuga and Renee Hively presented Commissioner with an update on Lyon County Public Health. Dr. Oyenuga reported Covid cases are down and are milder than in the past. Moderna is available for children now. Renee reported on vaccines for children. No future clinics are scheduled as of now. Still administering 3-10 Covid tests daily at CareArc.
