Motion: To Approve Payroll Withholdings Payable 9-17-2021 in the amount of $418,823.46.

Commissioners discussed a letter of support for LCAT for funds for capital transportation operation services.

Motion: To Approve the chairman signing the LCAT Public Transportation Grant Application Letter of Support. Briggs/Martin 3-0

Motion: To Appoint Rollie Martin as the Voting Delegate and Scott A. Briggs as the 1st Alternate Voting Delegate and Doug Peck as the 2nd Alternate for the Kansas Association of Counties. Briggs/Peck 3-0

Motion: To move to Legal Executive Session for confidential data exchange with Commissioners, Ryan Janzen, Sam Seeley, and Counselor Goodman, to return to commission chambers at 9:35 a.m. Martin/Peck 3-0

Chip Woods and Josh Stevenson presented Commissioners with a request to consider a quote for the purchase of a used grader. The 2017 grader still has 194 hours of factory warranty on it. Chip also gave an update on expense comparisons through August. Hot mix and fuel costs are up.

Motion: To Approve the quote from Murphy Tractor and Equipment Company for a used 2017 120M2 4WD Caterpillar Grader and trade in D-96, a 2007 Caterpillar 122H grader for a total amount of $125,700.00, to be paid from Fund 017-00-9026. Briggs/Peck 3-0

Public Hearing on Fence Viewing at Road P5 and Road 70: No landowners were present at the hearing in commission chambers. Commissioners noted landowner Mr. Pringle was unavailable to attend the public hearing. Commissioners postponed action on the fence issue until October 14th to allow for landowners available for input.

• I attended the “Vote Yes” committee meeting. The next meeting is on September 27th.

Commissioner Peck:
• Attended the RDA meeting via zoom.

• Attended the Study Session on Wednesday.

Commissioner Briggs:
• Attended the Covid Response zoom meeting.
• Monday, I attended the Fair Board meeting. I was very impressed with the livestock sales receipts.
• The Truck and Tractor Pull has been rescheduled until September 25th.

Clerk Vopat:
• Recorded the minutes of the fence viewing yesterday.
• Working on budgets and the upcoming election.

Counselor Goodman:
• I attended the RDA meeting on Friday.
• Attended the Community Corrections Advisory Board meeting.
