Human Resource Director: Direct the Human Resources and Payroll functions in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service to the employees while administering and enforcing the Human Resource and Payroll policies, procedures, and programs. Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Human Resources or a related field required and/or 6 years of experience preferred. NOTICE OF POSITION OPENING

Lyon County Communications Operator

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office has an opening for a full-time Communications Operator. This is a non-exempt position with full benefits. Starting pay is $13.20 per hour.
The shift assignment for this opening is subject to departmental needs and requires working some weekends and holidays.
We are looking for a person able to communicate well, both verbally and in writing, who can deal successfully in a high-stress environment of the communication center.
Appointment to this position requires a completed application, successful completion of pre-employment background, physical, and polygraph examinations, and participation in the department’s random drug and alcohol screening program.
