Commissioners discussed a letter of support for LCAT for a grant.

Motion: To Approve signing a Letter of Support for the Lyon County Area Transportation for the Kansas Department of Transportation grant application.

Commissioner Slater:
• Thank you to Tammy Vopat, Sharon Gaede and Wendy Weiss for their work on the NECKO meeting.
• Attended the Community Corrections Board meeting.
• RDA meeting is tomorrow.

Commissioner Martin:
• Thank you to Tammy Vopat, Sharon Gaede and Wendy Weiss for their work on the NECKO meeting.
• Attended the Lyon County Extension Board meeting.
• Next week during commission meeting we will tour a road issue.
• I received an invitation from the Kansas Department of Commerce to attend a luncheon supporting trade.

Commissioner Briggs:
• Thank you to Tammy Vopat, Sharon Gaede and Wendy Weiss for their work on the NECKO meeting.
• Fair Board meeting was on Monday evening.
• On Sunday I attended the Miller Fire Department picnic. I answered a lot of questions about zoning, the radio system, road conditions, etc.
• Tuesday night I attended a meeting on the progress of the wind farm.

Clerk Vopat:
• I attended the Department of Property Valuation Abstract class in Topeka on Tuesday.
• Wednesday I visited the 4th grade class at Logan Avenue School about the importance of voting. The class voted on an issue related to their class.
• Saturday I, along with my election staff will have a voter registration booth at the Great American Market.

Counselor Goodman:
• I attended the Community Corrections Advisory Board meeting.
• RDA meeting is Friday.

Controller Williams:
• I attended the Fair Board meeting on Monday.
• I attended the Ignite Emporia meeting.
• Housing study meeting was yesterday.

Steve Willis presented Commissioners with the KDOC reimbursement budgets for Adult and Juvenile Services and for grant assistance.

Motion: To Rescind the three Motions made on September 5th related to the Department of Corrections for the FY 2020 Carryover Reimbursement Budgets and the 2020 Federal Edward Byrne Memorial Just Assistance Grant.
