Commissioner Martin:
• I attended the Friends of the 4-H Picnic last Thursday.
• I will attend the JEDAC meeting on Tuesday.
• Received an invitation from the Flint Hills Community Health Center for a meet and greet.
• I participated in the KVOE Newsmaker session regarding the budget.

Commissioner Briggs:
• I attended the Friends of the 4-H Picnic also.
• Wind mill project is moving along very well.

Clerk Vopat
• Working on voter registration drives.
Controller Williams:
• Attended the Friends of the 4-H Picnic.
• Attended the Ignite Emporia meeting.
• I will attend a housing meeting tomorrow.
• Sales tax numbers are up from last year.

Counselor Goodman:
• I will attend the JEDAC meeting.
• RDA meeting is Friday.
• There is a Jury trial starting on Monday.

Dan Williams presented Commissioners with a request to amend the 2019 Lyon County Budget.

Motion: To Approve publishing the Notice of Budget Hearing Amending the 2019 Lyon County Budget. Briggs/Martin 2-0
Note: This amendment allows for budget authority to expend funds as planned previously. The budget hearing will take place on August 29th at 10:00 a.m.

Ruth Wheeler presented Commissioners with a request to upgrade and replace computers, software and server in District Court.

Motion: To Approve the quotes from Advantage Computer Jayhawk Software in the amount of $66,726.85 for upgrades and computers for District Court to be paid from Fund 017-00-9009. Briggs/Martin 2-0
Janice Huffman presented Commissioners with a request to consider sponsoring a Corporate Challenge Team and paying the registration fee.

Motion: To Approve a 2019 Corporate Challenge Team and pay $150.00 registration fee from Fund 010-18-7600. Martin/Briggs 2-0

Motion: To move to Legal Executive Session for confidential date with Commissioners, Controller Williams and Counselor Goodman, to return at 9:30 a.m. Martin/Briggs 2-0

Public comment: Ken Bazil discussed the mill levy rates and increased valuations in Lyon County. He indicated the senior population is struggling with meeting the increases.
